Company
At RN1 Research Institute, we aim to develop core source technologies for materials and components essential to next-generation communication networks.
We have established a mid-to-long term Road map to meet the key characteristics necessitated by the frequency expansion across industrial sectors, forming various consortia through in-house research, joint research, and technology introduction.
We are conducting preliminary research to secure a leading position in the market for materials and components used in 5G/6G communications by acquiring new substrate material technologies with low dielectric constant and low loss characteristics in the mm-Wave band, as well as integrated modular component fabrication technologies represented by AiP (Antenna in Package) and SiP (System in Package).

- 6G Candidate Frequency Bands
-
The need to consider mid-band frequencies for practical commercialization of 6G, centered around global telecommunications equipment manufacturers,
has been raised. The upper-mid band (7GHz to 24GHz), which is higher than the current main commercialization band of 5G at 3.5GHz and lower than 28GHz, has begun to gain attention as the core frequency band for 6G.
Notably, at the World Radiocommunication Conference (WRC-23) in November 2023, three bands proposed by the South Korean government, 4.4~4.8GHz, 7.125~8.5GHz, and 14.8~15.35GHz, were finally adopted.
for mid-band frequencies required by global telecommunications equipment manufacturers, using optimal solution design technology
based on LTCC (Low Temperature Co-fired Ceramic) technology. We have confirmed performance levels that meet or exceed those of competitors
and are preparing to lead in the era of 6G communications.
